Actually, it’s a White-Lined Sphinx Moth! I’ve had these moths visit previously but I’ve never been able to get a picture of them and last night was a challenge. White-Lined Sphinx Moths usually fly at dusk, through the night and during the dawn. While outside watching Mike hit a golf ball around the yard, I saw a moth buzz by me and begin feeding on my petunias. Knowing immediately what it was, I grabbed my camera and began snapping pictures. These pictures aren’t the greatest; I had my shutter speed as high as it would go and I still had blurry images. These little guys move fast and don’t sit still for very long. I had the pleasure of seeing two feed on my petunias.
