On my drive home from work, my car thermometer said 83 degrees. Upon walking into the house, Mr. Bird Nerd informed me that he had seen three Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks at my now empty sunflower feeder and he even had pictures to prove it! So I did what any good bird watcher would do, I ran to fill the feeder and grab my camera. Within a few minutes of filling the feeder I got to see my long lost friends, too. It’s so nice to have them back and I can’t wait until the orioles and hummingbirds are back as well. I’m guessing it’ll be before the weekend. If you haven’t gotten your feeders ready, I’d suggest that you do.
